Mission

Provision of the high quality services guarantying customer satisfaction whilst ensuring operational safety, protecting environment and health of people are the priorities of Middle East Petroleum FZE. To continue refining our assets and facilitating our investments in the oil transportation industry sector to secure our position as hydrocarbons transhipment services provider of choice for the Caspian oil industry.

The transportation activities of MEP create significant benefits for the countries of the region in terms of crude oil and oil products exports, transportation revenues and employment.

In addition to economical benefits the transportation industry is strategically important for Azerbaijan and Georgia who are supported in the development of transportation by the European Union under TACIS/TRACECA program.
 

History

The history of Middle East Petroleum in Azerbaijan began as recently as 2002, by investments in Dubendi Oil Terminal and establishing Middle East Petroleum as transhipment company in the Caspian region. Today MEP is a major link of the chain for the transit  transportation of crude oil and oil products from the Caspian region to world markets.
